It's the end of May...must be time for a dance recital! Rylee and Audree decided to make the pictures before their dance recital a big of a session! They were hilarious and kept coming up with funny poses...I had to put them into a collage...they make me laugh! I love these girls! They both dance perfectly at their recital...I get teary eyed everytime I watch these kids perform (and they seem to perform a LOT)...I wonder when that will stop?? Well...summer here we come!

Audree Graduated from Kindergarten!!
Today was Audree's last day of kindergarten! She has had a great year...she learned to read, she has learned to add and subtract, she has loved recess (not to mention a little boy named "Gibson"!), she is quite a "smarty-bo-farty"...at least, that's what we call them around here! She also enjoyed having 4 of her great friends in her class this year...Rylee, Brianna, Katie and Danielle all live within a block of us, are in our ward and are also in Audree's kindergarten class! We are very proud of her and all that she is accomplishing...and we are so proud of her for graduating from Mrs. Porter's class.
OH, and Spencer was really excited that his best buddy, Caleb, was there today! They played on the playground while their big sisters graduated! What great buddies!

Spencer's Sad Foot
While I was brushing my teeth the other day I suddenly heard Spencer crying downstairs. When I came down to check on him he said he "sat on his foot" and it hurt. I figured it fell asleep or something and didn't think much of it. Awhile later I noticed that he was seriously limping and still complaining that his foot hurt...he didn't switch feet and he isn't a complainer, so I thought it was a little strange. By lunch time he wouldn't walk at all...I figured that after his nap he would be fine. He took a good nap and then I heard him upstairs yelling down for me to come get him...I said, "Why?" and he said, "My foot hurts!". Dang it, he really was hurt!! I had to carry him around all day or he would cry because he couldn't walk...we called Grandpa Dr. Jim and told us to come in. Based on where it hurt, Grandpa thought he had broken his foot...so Spencer was super-brave while he had an X-Ray. The X-Ray didn't show any broken bones...whew, so we assume it's a good sprain. Grandpa put a splint on Spencer for a couple days and by the next morning Spencer was running around with that splint like a normal crazy guy! I am glad he didn't have to have a cast for 6 weeks...he has been begging for this splint to come off since day 2...it's only been 3 days, but we are hoping the splint will be ready to come off today!

Zoo Trip!
I was excited that Jake made arrangements to help with Spencer so that I could attend Audree's kindergarten zoo trip this year...that is, until the weather report! The trip was scheduled "rain or shine"...and of course, we got rain! It poured the whole day...luckily we had ponchos galore and kindergartners don't seem to mind being cold and wet! It was actually pretty fun...the animals were alert and fun...we really liked the baby elephant and the giraffes! Besides the weather, it was a great day and I was really glad that I got to spend the day with Audree!! She is so funny and had a great time with her friends! When I got home I found out that Spencer and his daddy had a great day too...lunch at McDonald's and lots of "man time". What a day!
Rylee's Baptism
My sweet Rylee turned 8 years old and was so excited to be baptized! She wanted Uncle "Seanie" to perform the baptism, which we all thought was a great idea! She was surrounded by her family (she truly has such a great support system and so many great men around her!) and many of her friends were there too! She was baptized in the same dress that her Grandma, Mom and Big Sister were baptized in! Besides the fact that she said the water was freezing, it was a wonderful day! Later in the day she had a dance competition and danced like a star! She is growing up so fast and we are so proud of her!
