Family Ski Day!
This year the kids are really taking off in their skiing skills! Jake has been so good to take them up skiing several times and they LOVE it! We have lucked out on some killer deals (like free passes) and so we have been able to take them on the lifts and really watch them grow. Spencer and Audree are doing amazing (and Audree used to fight going skiing...not anymore!), in fact, they both look for places where they can "catch air" now! So funny! I have to admit...I had some fun too. Anyways, we love to get out and enjoy the outdoors...even when it's cold around here, it's still beautiful! This was a fun day up at Park City!!
Cabin Trip 2013 - The Trip that Almost didn't Happen!
This year's cabin trip was doomed from the start...we had to change the date a couple times, I actually cancelled it at one point. Then all sorts of challenges came up between, Blair and Travis having work issues, Mom and Dad selling their house, Blair and Shanna having to move, Brooke and Kyle moving, etc. Finally the day arrived and even then we had to push it back a day...Blair and Travis drove all-night with Katie, Bristol and Bryton and eventually we all made it! And, in case that wasn't enough...while we were there Brooke and Kyle had their car towed and Blair and Shanna almost died (alright, I'm being dramatic) in a snowmobile accident. What a week!!
Surprisingly, it was an AWESOME time and we all had the chance to bond and spend time together...which, Dad reminded us, is what it's all about! By the time all was said and done...all we really remember is the good stuff...sledding, tubing, hot tubs, Just Dance competitions, games, snowmobiling, lots of good food and laughter. Speaking of laughter, Shanna and I almost peed our pants from laughing while we tried to sled on our amazing blow-up mattress tube! Such a good time! It snowed almost the whole time we were there...but that didn't get in the way! We love this trip and even though it's a challenge, it's totally worth it. Thanks everyone for making it happen!

Cheer Competitions!
Cheer competitions are simply one of my favorite things! I get to hang out with Karlee, watch her perform and we rock out to sweet tunes in the car...always a great day! The first couple competitions this year were a little rocky (in fact, the ended up deciding to compete down a level...which was a good choice). But, just this past week they took 2nd place out of 7 teams and beat Fusion (a team they have never beat...they are usually impossible to beat). Karlee had a perfect routine (they all did!) and it was a great day. One more competition and then it's Nationals...can't believe another year is flying by! Woo Hoo!
Rylee- The Rebounding Rebel!
Rylee is in the middle of basketball season...I LOVE basketball season! Watching Rylee is play is fun and inspiring...she plays with intensity and with heart. She is the rebounding champ this year and of course, she is an amazing defender. She is really enjoying playing with the girls on her team and she even likes her coach (who NEVER smiles...seriously, it's a little scary!). Anyways, we have really enjoyed watching her and couldn't be more proud of her positive attitude. You are awesome Rylee!
Science Fair Time!
Science Fair season is an even bigger deal this year...we have 2 competitors!! Rylee was so excited to have her turn to do a science fair project and since she plans to be a wedding caterer one day it was easy to choose a "food" project! Besides, we all LOVED helping her with her cookie taste testing, YUM! Rylee did a great job and had lots of fun...great job, Rys! Karlee did her project completely on her own and it turned out GREAT! She did her project on how many numbers people could memorize in order. I was proud her for doing it without much help...she getting so big! Whew...it's always a relief when those projects are done!
