Springville Track Days!

Hershey is no longer supporting the good old track meet for the kiddos...but Springville City came to rescue and so it continues! Rylee prides herself on being one of the fastest girls around and proves it every year! This year was no exception. We got to watch her run the 100 meter race...she took 1st, then she ran in the semi-final race...she took 1st, and then the final race...she took 2nd! What a speed demon! She is a competitor and races with her fierce face...I love to watch her compete! You killed it again, girl!

Audree was so excited about her chance to run at the track meet too! Audree has found that she is more talented at the longer runs...she has got some endurance! So, she did the long jump (which she did awesome at, only a couple inches from placing!) and ran the 200 meter and the 400 meter. She was so good to save up some energy and run hard at the end of those long races! She took 2nd by a long shot in the 400 and took 2nd in the 200 meter by outrunning several girls in the last 50 meters! I was so proud of her!! She was bummed not to bring home a certificate, but I couldn't be more proud of her.

Father & Sons

Of course, I don't have any photos of Spencer and Jake at the Father & Sons night...you can never count on boys to get the pics! But, they had an exciting evening filled with candy canons, 2-hand touch football, outdoor movies and surprise rain storms...probably the best night of Spencer's life! The girls and I had a pretty great time too! Dinner out at Zupa's, then mom painted all their toenails while we watched a Real soccer game.

Audree's Lake Field Trips!

Audree's 4th grade class had the opportunity to go on 2 fun field trips in 1 week! The first one was to Utah Lake (our summer fun place!) and the other was a trip to the Great Salt Lake. I was able to meet up with her for the first trip and we had a blast learning about little owls, tiny bugs in the water and we got to eat our Subway sandwiches together! I wasn't able to attend the second field trip, but a friend of mine sent this photo of Audree wading in the Great Salt Lake...looks like she had a pretty great time...she must have, because she said she slept the whole bus ride back to school.

Spencer Storm Soccer

So, this little team of 8 year olds is supposed to be losing all their soccer games this year. It's supposed to be a preparation year to help them be ready for next year. But, someone forgot to tell these boys that! This little soccer team is SO much fun to watch. They are great little ball handlers, passers, shooters, and defenders. We are amazed at how well they play together...and so are the kids twice their size! They play with their whole heart every game and have been winning all season. Their last game of the season was a tough loss...they had come back from behind and had the lead, with a minute left, the other team scored. It was all tied up, but this was tournament play, so into overtime we go. They held them off till the last couple minutes and had some great shots of their own...but in the last 2 minutes the other team managed to squeeze a goal in. The boys were so bummed and the parents were a bit teary...tough way to end such a great season. Can't wait to watch these kids play together more!!

Spencer has some big fans...rain or shine we are there to cheer him on! This game was raining, so we parked the car backwards, opened up the trunk and cheered from there...as you can see we hated every second! ha ha!

Rylee's Big 12th Birthday!

Holy Smokes, I have 2 daughters in Young Women's! Rylee is so funny...no, really, she's hilarious...she loves singing time in Primary and was a little bummed about having to go to Young Women's. Who does that? Anyways, she really is such a great kid and makes me so proud with her confidence, desire to be righteous, her smarts and her toughness.

For her birthday, she decided to go small this year. She just wanted to invite Skylar, her best friend from her soccer team, out for a dinner at Pizza Factory, go to Color Me Mine and then have ice cream back at home. Of course, I also picked her up from school on her actual birthday and took her to any place of her choice...she chose Arbys. That night we had some time, so we hit up Nickelmania (all siblings had to turn over their tickets to her at the end of the night)...she ended up with a sweet blow-up bat! She loved the make-up, "jandals" and money she got for her birthday. Plus, Grandma & Grandpa Clark showed up with a 6-pack of Dr. Pepper (her favorite). It is good to be 12!

Cruise to the Bahamas!

Jake and I were ready for an escape...a vacation from the vacations! I had been on edge, just stressed to the max for quite awhile...so, while it was hard to leave the kids and make this little vacation work...I am SO glad we did! It was a quick getaway...leave on Thursday, return on Monday. We flew to Miami, spent the night in a hotel and then boarded the Norwegian Sky. We spent 1 day in Nassau, Bahamas and then 1 day at the private island, Grand Stirrup Cay. While there were many things that didn't go the way we would like (our room neighbor thinks he's a DJ and brought all of his obnoxiously loud sound equipment and partied till all hours of the night...making our balcony nearly useless and our nights interrupted with calls to security) we made the most of a relaxing and stress-free weekend. We purchased floaties on the first island and simply found quiet places to float and do nothing...we loved every second of it! The food was delicious and the comedian was actually funny. I enjoyed some virgin lava flows and Jake enjoyed people watching at the pool and little game of dodgeball. It was over too fast, but it was just what we needed.
