Have you ever had one of those days where all of a sudden it's 3:00 and you realize that, besides screaming at them, you haven't talked to your kids yet that day? Well, I was so busy cleaning and working on photography stuff today...and all of a sudden it was 3:00!! I felt like I needed to stop and do something fun with the kids! Karlee suggested making some playdough. All 4 of the kids jumped on board with that idea! It's no surprise that they decided on pink for the color...Spencer had no say on that one! So, we pulled out the recipe book and cooked up some pink playdough...all the kids helped!!
The kids loved making shapes...I showed them how to make a silly happy face and they made it even sillier!!
Guess what Spencer did when we tried to give him some of the playdough...you guessed it...he had a big ol' taste! Yummy!! Fun with the kids...mission accomplished!! I wish I would do stuff like this with them more often.

I TOTALLY understand!!! I was so going to call you the other day and ask....Do you feel like all you do is scream at your kids??? Cuz I do!!! But when I take a step back and do something fun with them, I LOVE it and think why isn't it like this more often???
I hear you, too. It's so easy to get to the end of the day and realize that I didn't "play" with the kids all day. I am REALLY trying to not let that happen, they are little for such a short amount of time. Good job Ashlee!
I'm so glad you guys got away, too. Sounds nice to sleep all night long and not be woken up in the morning. Fun, fun!!
