Kid Pics!

While we were out in California earlier this summer we had the chance to take some fun photos...Just thought I'd share some that I took of the kids! I rarely get pictures of my kids all dressed up and look'n spiffy...but I seized the opportunity and I think these turned out nice! Aren't they all grown up and adorable?? I love these guys!

Ahhhhh...a cruise!!

It's been 3 years since our last cruise...we swore it wouldn't be this long...but at least it wasn't another 9 years!! Anyways, we decided to make this one a shorter and make the travel lighter...so we just headed out for a 4-day cruise to Catalina and Ensenada, Mexico. Our neighbors, the Sayers, were angels and agreed to stay at our house with the kids for the week...they spoiled them everyday with a fun day trip! It was a fabulous week for ALL of us!

Jake and I flew to California where my parents took us to a great lunch at a fresh seafood market and then dropped us off at the ship! We sailed on the Carnival Inspiration...not a "fabulous" ship (we compared it to Wendover vs. Las Vegas)...but a relaxing and fun ship nonetheless! I got right to work ordering a virgin drink...mmm so tasty, and we watched the helicopters take off from the dock!

The next day we woke up and saw Catalina Island out our window! That's such a fun part of cruising...waking up to something new each day! We also LOVE room service breakfast!

We decided to rent a golf cart and explore the island...it was a blast! We saw some great views of the ship out in the bay, watched people zipline, checked out the golf course (not great) and just explored!

We also did some shopping there...this hat was our favorite find...apparently buffalo are a big thing on Catalina...we thought that was hilarious!

That night was our dressy night and we had fun taking advantage of a sweet "date night"! The food was delicious but the show was pretty bad, we just laughed through the whole thing.

The next morning we woke-up to Ensenada, Mexico. It was overcast and cool...what to do? Rent a scooter! We didn't even consider any dangers or whether it was a smart idea...it just sounded really fun...and it WAS! Luckily, we didn't get kidnapped or anything...plus we rocked the helmets!

We stopped at a beach, drove through the shopping district, checked out the view atop a hill and stopped by some giant heads to take pictures! We only rented the thing for an hour, but we made every minute count!

The last day on board was a bit of a bummer...cold, cloudy and windy...we bundled up and drank hot cocoa. Our plan of sitting out by the pool all day didn't work out, but we just hung out and enjoyed.

The whole time we were gone the kids stayed busy too! They went to Hogle Zoo, Clark Planetarium, the dollar movie, a splash pad, swimming at the reservoir and spent a day riding the FrontRunner up to Ogden. What a spoiled bunch of kiddos!!

Independence Day! Let's Celebrate!

The 4th of July has come once again...one of our favorite days of the year! We celebrated in the usual "Clark-fashion"!

Karlee LOVED the BYU cheerleaders...her heros!

After the parade the boys hit the golf course (Spencer was SO excited because this was the first year he was invited to attend!) and the girls watched a movie and made cupcakes!

The Nemrow's BBQ was delish and super-fun...the swing is always a hit...so are the pinatas!

Then the fireworks back at Grandma Clark's were great and the jet fly-by was awesome!
What a day!

California baby!!

Our annual summer trip to California was fantabulous! LOTS of family time! We arrived on Father's Day and had a "Dollar Store" gift for each of the Dad's..."money" glasses for Grandpa, Cheetah duct tape for Uncle Blair, a whoopee cushion for Uncle Travis and a "BaBa" for Uncle Kyle...plus Dad scored with a gift from each of the kids! I think his favorite was the "10 more minutes" sleep mask from Audree! Anyways, that was a great evening.

We hit the beach with Shanna and Brooke one day,

hung out at Scandia with Kyle and Brooke one day, (only took the video camera for that one!)
took pictures with Grandma, Grandpa and the cousins,

Aunt Katie won a "Spa Day" for the little ladies and invited us to the party! The girls LOVED every minute of the pampering and the boys LOVED bowling!

We went to see the movie "Brave" with everyone!

And...one of our favorite things is always having a beach bon fire...complete with a wiffle ball game!
