Cheer Competition Season

This is such a fun and stressful time of year...cheer competition season! This year I have TWO little flyers to watch, cheer on and get completely nervous for!! They are both doing so great and really have a fun year. Audree is doing awesome and loves to be a flyer and even bases one of the stunts in the routine! Karlee is flying, tumbling and jumping like an old pro. I just love to spend time with the girls at these competitions. Keep it up girls, you're awesome!!

Spencer and his Buddies

I love to have a boy in my house...he is funny, easy-to-please, a hard-worker and his friends are hilarious! I just had to share this picture I took of them the other day...they had been out riding bikes, jumping on the trampoline (mind you, it's been about 25 degrees outside), helping Jake break up the ice in our front yard, and then they came in to hang out and warm up...here they are watching a little SpongeBob and chillin'. It just makes me smile!

Brooke's Baby Shower

It really is fun to have my sister, Brooke, living nearby! Being that I am her sister, I was excited for the chance to throw her a baby shower now that she is expecting her first baby! I have never thrown a baby shower before, but I think this one was a success. I had fun creating invitations, planning food, decorating with balloons and meeting some of her friends from work and crossfit. We decided to do the party as an "open house" since it was going to be during the week. So, I found a fun "Baby Trivia" game that people could play as they came and went and we had a notebook for people to write advice to Brooke and Kyle in. Rylee even helped out by making her famous chocolate chip cookies...yummy! Anyways, can't wait to meet little Mylee and see my little sister be a Momma.

Christmas Day 2013

This year was lot of fun...Grandma GiGi and Grandpa Nemrow were staying with us for Christmas and we had such a relaxed day! No matter what I tell myself about making sure to take lots of pictures on Christmas, it never happens!! It is such a fun and relaxed day that I always forget to pull out the camera and get pictures!! Anyways, we all had a fabulous day and got spoiled rotten as usual! The big gifts...Karlee got a straightening iron for her hair and an Ipod Nano, Rylee got a Kindle Fire and a cake pop maker, Audree got a GIANT bear that she named, Chloe and lots of notebooks for writing in, Spencer got a BB gun and a giant stuffed tiger that he named "Tigrin". Jake spoiled me with new snow clothes and pajamas and I got him some running shoes and work clothes. The whole family got a new basketball game for the basement and some fun games for the Wii. It was great to have Grandma and Grandpa with us and it was great to have Brooke and Kyle spend the day with us too! We ate lots of yummy food that Grandma GiGi spoiled us with and it was another great Christmas on the books!

Clark Family Christmas Party

This party is one of our kids favorite days of the year! The Clark Family Christmas party has lots of fun and all of our favorite people!! We did the bowling party again this year and it is a blast! We basically take over half of the place!! This year Karlee was the big winner...she scored a huge 120!! After the bowling fun was over the party moved back to Grandma's house. Games, treats (LOTS of treats), gifts, Santa, the Nativity (this year Landon playing the sheep who likes his ipod was hilarious and baby Nixon was an adorable baby Jesus)...the fun continues for many hours!

Spencer is 7!!

Oh my gosh!! It is starting to sound ridiculous when I tell people about my kids and they ask how old they are and I say, "Well, my baby is 7". He is a baby to ME!! Anyways, we had to celebrate his birthday Big Boy style...because he doesn't think he's a baby anymore. He could choose anywhere for dinner...his choice...McDonald's...he is definitely his daddy's boy!! So funny! He also could choose any cake he wanted...he thought he was so clever when he said he wanted a "pancake...get it...cause it's a cake!!" Alright, I will take that challenge! I made giant chocolate chip pancakes and then daddy suggested that we stack them with Nutella and peanut butter inbetween the layers and then we topped it with whipped cream. It was a hit!! You know what else was a hit...his present of a "fart gun" from the movie Despicable Me 2. I will forever regret that noisy gift!

The actual day of his birthday was a crazy day (his birthday was in the middle of the week) so that weekend we also went to his favorite place to hang out...Nickelmania (his says it's French because of the "mania" part). Everyone gave him tickets...Grandma Gigi and Grandpa came with us...Gigi was on a roll and hit like 3 jackpots...so Spencer scored when it was time to choose his prizes! What a great day!

Spanish Fork Lights Night

Such a fun tradition!! Soup for dinner, Judy bring the cake to celebrate December birthdays and then it's off to the lights! Cramming us in the truck is becoming more difficult every year...the kids just keep getting bigger!! Somehow it always works out and we laugh the whole time...plus being that close together is always a bonding experience! Love this fun night with the Clarks!

Crazy Sweater Day!

Sage Creek Elementary has been doing a fun Spirit Week for the week before Christmas and everyday is a fun dress-up day. The kids favorite one this year was crazy sweater day. They made me promise to come up with something fun for each one of them the night before. I took on the challenge and surprised them each with these sweaters the next morning...they were satisfied! What a funny bunch!

Audree the pianist!!

Audree has been taking piano for 2 years now and she loves it!! She is so good to set her alarm and wake up early every morning before school to practice...and it's really starting to show! Anyways, she doesn't have any recitals so I haven't had a chance to post about her accomplishments...but here is a picture of her playing and I just wanted to remember how talented she is!! You're awesome, Audge!

Trumpet Concert

Karlee has joined the ranks of Jr. High this year and as such, had to choose a fine arts class. She was so excited to choose to play the trumpet in band class. Her dad played the trumpet when he was in Jr. High in Texas and while he has never broken it out and played it...Karlee still wanted to be like her dad! Jake was actually really excited that Karlee chose his instrument and she is playing the actual instrument that he has kept all these years. Now Karlee (and Jake) play it all the time and she is catching on nicely...she also likes that there is only 1 other girl in her band class. Anyways, we were really excited to all go and support her at her first trumpet concert! She did not disappoint...we are so proud of her! Great job, Kars!
