Art City Days!

It must be the beginning of summer becuase it's Art City Days here in Springville! That means the big 5K...with the best raffle EVER! and the parade. We love to be in Springville for these festivities! This year, Karlee was at Girls Camp for the race, so Jake and Rylee ran it together and did a fantastic job (although we did decide that Rylee's strength is the short distance races). We didn't win any prizes this year...but we'll be back next time!

It was also time for the big parade! This year Karlee and Audree both got to be in the parade for AirTime. It was so fun to have them in it together! Spencer, Rylee, me and Jake were there to catch candy and cheer them on! It was a warm and sunny one this year...hooray for summer!

Girls Camp...with Karlee!

When I was called to be in the Young Women's 3 years ago I really hoped that I would have the calling long enough to go to Girls Camp with Karlee...and it happend! I was so excited that we got to go together...and what a blast we had! This year was ward camp and we headed out to Moab! We got to camp at a beautiful campsite (with grass...so comfy!), we got to go hike up to Corona Arch, go water-rafting on the Colorado River and have a fun skit night. I actually had to come home for a wedding, but Karlee got to continue the fun with rappeling, a trip to the Monticello Temple and a wonderful testimony meeting. It was a great experience for both of us! Hooray!

Audree's Big Day...she's 8!!

My littlest girl is 8 years old! Audree is such a beautiful and talented little girl...musical, athletic (she is LOVING being on the cheer team now), outspoken, creative and funny. Our family is simply more whole with her around, she is loved by everyone! For her big birthday she decided to celebrate by bringing her best buddy, Bri Shaw, with us to Sonic for dinner and a night out at the Art City Carnival. We lucked out and even got to see Miss Springville at Sonic! It was such a fun evening, perfect weather and fun rides...the cotton candy and bubble gum flavored cupcakes were delish too! Before we left for the big night out she got her birthday present too...a new bike!

The Carnival was a blast...Audree, Spencer and Bri loved the Scrambler (of course, I could barely even watch...makes me sick!) and the big slide! Rylee, Karlee and Dad loved the really big rides...the Zipper and the FireBall! Me...I just loved the people watching...wow- where do these people come from?

Hershey Track meet #2

Rylee made it to the District Wide Hershey Track meet...we were so proud of her and so glad the Aunt Jenny and Grandma Clark could come to support her! It was a great afternoon...she got to compete in the long jump and the 50 meter dash. She did great at the jump, but didn't quite move on in that event. The she did the 50 meter run and took 2nd place...good enough to move on again to the big track meet in Payson later this month! WOW...she is tough to beat!

Spencer's a Busy Guy!

This year Spencer would always complain about going to gymnastics...the only reason I kept him in it was because it was during the time that Karlee was already there for cheer and it was more fun for him than just sitting there...also, he LOVED it...I don't know why he would complain, he would laugh and roll around and be crazy the whole classtime. Anyways, he had a great year and learned a lot.

As soon as gymnastics was over for the year...t-ball began! We have never done t-ball before, so it's been a new experience. Can't say it's me and Jake's favorite...and although Spencer says he loves it...the fact that he simply sits on 3rd base and picks out the grass makes us believe otherwise. He sure looks adorable in his little uniform though and we are just looking forward to seeing him out on the soccer field again this fall!

Last Week of School

Whew...the last of week of school is always SO crazy (and fun!). I was at the school everyday for one thing or another...here are a few of them.

Spencer had his Kindergarten Graduation! He sang songs from throughout the year and got a cookie from his teacher...he is sure going to miss Mrs. Tanner!

I helped at Field Day activities with Audree, Rylee and Karlee. The obstacle course was a blast and the popsicles at the end were much needed after our days in the sun.

The Dance Festival is always a ton of fun! Spencer and his rowdy crew (Caleb, Jack and Reeces) hung out with me and ran around like monkeys during the festival...they are so funny! This year Audree got to do the parachute dance with the 2nd grade, Rylee performed the square dance with the 4th grade and the crazy 6th graders did the Harlem Shake. I actually started to cry during Karlee's dance because I realized that next year she won't be there...my little girl is getting so BIG! The tears surprized even me...but I guess I was just feeling a little sentimental. This has been such a great year for Karlee she has grown up a lot and really enjoyed some extra responsibility with Student Council...it will be a little strange to have her at a different school next year.

There was also a 6th grade storytelling Festival...Karlee was "Narrator 2" for the Chinese story they did...she was poised and spoke so clearly!

Karlee also did the Mini-society...she sold ninja names on headbands...it was so creative and fun! I can't find the photos, but she had a great (and really HOT) day doing that too!
