Lake Powell

Lake Powell was such an adventure this year! I mean that in the best, and also the worst way. On the way to the lake, in the middle of the night...we couldn't leave until after cheer practice and Rylee's soccer game...we got a flat tire. Good news, it was at a lighted gas station, bad news...it took forever to fix it! but, we finally made it and were ready for some fun! The trip included a warm, sunny and fun day and 2 stormy, but exciting days. We enjoyed it all! We took advantage of some time to just hang out, paint our nails, hike around, play some games...it was great. It was a pretty low key trip with a small number of us and while we missed having everyone there...we enjoyed just hanging out. Spencer's favorite part was catching "sea bass" and "stripers" then cooking them up and eating them for dinner...he was a huge fan! We really enjoyed the crazy thunderstorms that passed by...one in particular had us all on our toes! On the drive home we hit another snag...another flat tire!! So, we hobbled into Hanksville and found a place that would replace all the tires on our boat trailer. Problem solved.
